The Optimist training mast with a sleeve lacks a pivot stop and stainless steel eyelets for attaching the sail head. It is compatible with Optiparts sleeved sails. This mast is equipped with a stainless steel halyard pulley and aluminum cam cleats for the halyard and downhaul. This Optimist mast slides into the sleeve of the Optimist sail, which has a loose foot. Therefore, no sail swages are required on the mast or boom.
Also available: Optimist mast extensions, 10 or 20 cm, for Optimist masts with a sleeve. These extensions lengthen the mast by 10 or 20 cm to save space. They fit at the top of the mast and raise the sail and boom. Available upon request.
