Halyard hook or V-Cleat to be fixed on the mast for mainsail halyard or dinghy jib.
This cleat is typically installed on the mast, with the rope exiting the mast and passing through the cleat. A knot or swaged ball is installed on the halyard and positioned correctly when the mainsail is fully hoisted. The knot or ball is then pulled into the profile, and the halyard is released. This system creates a secure and reliable halyard locking mechanism, even under tension. To lower the mainsail, simply pull on the halyard and release the knot or ball from the profile. This cleat-type halyard lock is suitable for ropes/cables with a diameter of 2 to 3 mm .
